• 📍 Disposal Location :
  • Near the building parking lot by the utility pole.
  • Place all tied, full trash bags here for collection.
• 🛍️ Where to Find Trash Bags
  • New plastic bags are stored in the bench-style storage on the stairs between the 2nd and 3rd floor. (If you need a new trash bag, please take one from here.)
  • Two types :
    • Official Trash Bag (which can be white with blue lettering or pink) - General wastes
    • Transparent(or white) Bag - Recycling
  • Two sizes : 30L, 60L

• Kitchen Bin (30-Litter) 🍽️
  • For small cooking waste only, like food wrappers or small scraps.
  • Not for recyclables or large trash items.
  • Recyclables should go directly into the beige outdoor bins.
  • Large trash items (e.g., plastic containers, boxes) should go into the
• R Sector Toilet Bin (30-Litter) 🚻
  • Use: Collect restroom waste.
• Outdoor Bins (at the Entrance Door)
  • 3 Beige Bins ♻️
    1. Bag: 60-liter transparent or white plastic bags.
    2. Use: For recyclable materials.
    3. Action: Place all recyclables directly into these bins.
  • 1 Black Bin 🗑️
    1. Bag: 60-liter plastic bag.
    2. Use: For non-recyclable trash.
    3. Action: Place large non-recyclable items here.

1. What Goes Here: Paper, plastic bottles, cans, glass, and other recyclables.
2. Where to Put It:
   1. Directly into the beige outdoor bins.
   2. Use the 60-liter transparent or white plastic bags provided.
3. Note:
   1. Do not use the small kitchen bin for recyclables.
   2. Flatten boxes and bottles to save space.

1. Initial Collection:
   1. Use the black outdoor bin lined with a 60-liter plastic bag.
   2. Place large non-recyclable items here.
2. Transfer:
   1. When the black bin is full, transfer the trash into an Official Trash Bag.
      1. What Is It: Special government-issued bags required for non-recyclable trash.
      2. Appearance: May be white with blue lettering or pink.
      3. Name in Korean: “종량제 봉투” (pronounced “Jong-nyang-je Bong-tu”).
      4. Purchase: Available at supermarkets or convenience stores.
3. Disposal:
   1. When the Official Trash Bag is full, tie it securely.
   2. Take it to the designated area near the parking lot by the utility pole.

1. Kitchen Sink Disposal Unit:
   • How to Use:
     1. Open the Tap Water.
     2. Power On the Disposal:
        1. Power Button Location: On the top right side of the sink.
        2. Press the button to start the disposal unit.
     3. Dispose of Food Waste:
        1. Place food scraps into the sink while the disposal is running.
        2. Eggshells: Please use the food disposal unit for eggshells as well.
        3. Do Not put non-food items or hard objects into the disposal.
     4. Turn Off:
        1. When finished, turn off the disposal unit and the tap water together.
2. Important:
   1. Safety: Never put your hands into the disposal unit.
   2. No Yellow Bags Needed: Do not use yellow bags for food waste.

1. Examples: Umbrellas, desks, tables, smartphones, TVs.
2. Action:
   1. Do Not place these items in regular trash bins.
   2. Collection Service: Arrange for a paid collection service.
      1. How to Arrange:
         1. Visit the local district office or website to purchase a disposal sticker.
         2. Attach the sticker to the item.
         3. Place the item at the designated pickup location on the scheduled date.
3. Note: Disposal fees vary depending on the item.

   1. Where: Special trash bins are available at the Sillim Community Center.
   2. Action: Take your used batteries and unused or expired medicines to these bins.

   1. Clothing Donation Bins:
      1. Description: Green big boxes.
      2. Location: There are three of them quite close in our neighborhood.
      3. Action: Place your unwanted clothes in these green donation bins.

1. Collect Small Cooking Waste:

1. Use the small kitchen bin for tiny cooking trash only.
2. Do Not place recyclables or large items here.

2. Dispose of Recyclables:

1. Place all recyclables directly into the beige outdoor bins.
2. Use the 60-liter transparent or white plastic bags.
3. Examples: Plastic bottles, cans, paper, glass.

3. Dispose of Large Non-Recyclable Trash:

1. Place in the black outdoor bin.
2. When full, transfer to an Official Trash Bag (white with blue lettering or pink).
3. Tie the bag securely and take it to the designated area.

4. Use the Food Disposal Unit:

1. Turn on the tap water.
2. Press the power button on the top right side of the sink.
3. Place food waste into the sink.
   1. Remember: Eggshells should be disposed of in the food disposal unit.
4. Turn off the disposal unit and tap water together when finished.

5. Dispose of Special Items Properly:

1. Large Items and Electronics: Arrange for a paid collection service.
2. Batteries and Medicines: Take them to the trash bins at the Sillim Community Center.
3. Clothes:
   1. Use the green clothing donation bins in the neighborhood.
   2. There are three of them close by.

6. Replace Trash Bags:

1. Get new bags from the bench-style storage between the 2nd and 3rd floor stairs.
